🌏✨ Mahalo nui to IWU alumna Natalie Lalagos and her students for joining us last week to share their experience with the Transformative Translations program. Their stories reminded us that multilingualism is both a powerful skill and a meaningful way to serve our communities.

As Natalie shared, todos podemos contribuir con nuestro granito de arena - we can all make a difference. Guided by the Hawaiian concept of kuleana (privilege and responsibility), the program centers the voices, stories, and talens of multilingual youth.

We also learned about the many languages represented in the program, including Marshallese, Pohnpeian, Mandarin, Kosraean, Tagalog, Ilocano, Portuguese, Japanese, Visayan, Samoan, and 'Olelo Hawai'i.

Thank you for inspiring us to continue strengthening multilingual and intercultural engagement at IWU. We look forward to future collaborations!
