His speech will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET and will give the details of the USDA's framework and underscore USDA's commitment under the Administration to increase competition, bolster access to healthy, affordable food, ensure growers and workers receive a greater share of the food dollar, and advance equity as well as climate resilience and mitigation.

This event will be livestreamed on usda.gov/live.

2.5 Day "Strategic Doing™" Practitioner Training this May in Washington County!

When: Monday, Tuesday and half-day Wednesday, May 23-25.
Where: Washington County Community Foundation in Salem, IN

What is Strategic Doing™? In today’s world, collaboration is essential to meet the complex challenges we face. Strategic Doing™ teaches people how to form collaborations quickly, move them toward measurable outcomes and make adjustments along the way, to generate innovative solutions.

$495 participation fee covers:

2.5 say training fee, course materials, breakfast and lunch each day, and two nights of lodging at the Cobblestone Inn in Salem or daily rides from IU motor pool for those who cannot stay the night.

This greatly reduced fee is being offered thanks to financial contributions from the Washington County Community Foundation and the Indiana University Center for Rural Engagement.

Data to Improve Community Conditions Shaped by Structural Racism 04/08/2022

A funding opportunity is available through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and Urban Institute. RWJF is granting up to 35 awards of $40,000 for nine-month projects working toward health equity. The awards are granted to nonprofits with university data partners.



The opportunity invites eligible nonprofit organizations to apply for a grant to use data to inform efforts to improve community conditions shaped by structural racism, and ultimately work towards achieving health equity.


Any organization interested in applying must register by April 20. 

Registered organizations will receive an invitation to apply by May 2. Applications are due by May 26. Learn more here!
