Our MBD Garden is in full BLOOM! 🌱🌞🌻🍅🥒🍓

Throughout the spring, our students have been carefully watching seeds sprout and plants grow inside their classrooms. Recently, they transplanted their seedlings into our school garden, where they continue to care for them each day.

Our compost bin is also beginning to do its job, creating rich, nutrient-filled soil that will help our garden thrive. Students have been watering the garden daily, learning firsthand about responsibility, patience, and the life cycle of plants.

We were even lucky enough to harvest and enjoy some delicious strawberries! 🍓

This growing season, our garden is home to strawberries, sunflowers, marigolds, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and string beans.

A huge thank you to our students, staff, and families for helping our garden bloom!✨

SRD’s Coffee Cart is CLOSED for the season ☕️

Huge shoutout to our loyal staff customers, you kept us in business all year long!

Ms. Ricca & Mrs. Gomez’s class were out here running the hottest coffee spot in the building! Students brewed, served, and even handed out personalized cookies as a sweet thank you 🍪💛

But let’s be real…this was more than just coffee 👇
✨ fine motor skills
✨ sequencing
✨ patience (the real MVP)
✨ manners
✨ waiting their turn like pros

Oh, and learning how to make a solid cup of coffee too ☕️

Safe to say…we’ve got some future baristas in the making!

The WTB Symphonic Band had a busy day yesterday, performing first for the Bloomingdale Senior Center and then for the students at SRD. Their hard work, dedication, and talent were on full display, and they made our school community proud.

A great start to the morning! 🚓🏃‍♂️🔥

Each year, law enforcement agencies across New Jersey trade in their uniforms for running shoes as they carry the “Flame of Hope” across the Garden State, helping kick off the Special Olympics New Jersey Summer Games. This year marks the 43rd Annual Torch Run.

Today, Ms. Ricca’s students, Ms. Dara’s students, and student volunteers from WTB proudly joined the Bloomingdale Police Department, neighboring school districts, and local law enforcement agencies in this inspiring event supporting Special Olympics New Jersey.

Thank you to the Bloomingdale Police Department and our administration for continuing to provide our students with the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful tradition. ❤️💙
