Drums of Unity

Joe Licinski will be bringing his Drums of Unity event to the Englewood- Charlotte Community Center on Tuesday, June 23rd with the event starting at 1pm. This event was previously held at the Englewood- Charlotte Library but due to the popularity of this event, it has been moved to the building next door where we have more room and make even more noise! This event will be held the 4th tuesday monthly. There is no charge to attend but registration is required using the link below. Thank you Friends of the Library for sponsoring this wonderful event!

Joe Licinski will be featured at the Gulf Gate Library in Sarasota on Monday, June 22nd at 2pm with his Drums of Unity program for adults sponsored by the library's Summer Learning Program. There is no fee to attend but registration is required using the link below. Joe will be bringing 30 full size drums for the participants to use. He will teach the students to play the drum using fun songs, phrases and the syllables of words. If you and say it, you can play it!

Joe Licinski has been invited to bring his Drums of Unity program to the downtown Sarasota Selby Library on Saturday, June 20th at 11am. Joe will be teaching his students of all ages how to play the African djembe drums using fun songs, phrases and the syllables of words to make learning to play easy and fun. No experience is needed and there is no cost to attend but registration is required using this link. We hope to see you there!

The residents and friends of the Palm Island Estates Association enjoyed a beautiful evening on the beach with Joe Licinski and his Drums of Unity program sharing 40 of his djembe drums. Joe taught the participants how to play the drums using fun songs, phrases and syllables of words to teach the beats and rhythms. Thank you Kelly for organizing this fun Memorial Day weekend event!

After church and a luncheon, Joe Licinski led a fun drum circle activity in the fellowship hall with his friends at Community Presbyterian Church in Englewood, Florida. He shared his djembe drums and taught rhythms using fun phrases and syllables of words. It sounded amazing! Thank you Laurie for organizing this event.

A special THANK YOU to the Friends of The Elsie Quirk Library for sponsoring the Drums of Unity event today with Joe Licinski shaking the walls of the library teaching the participants new beats and rhythms. The new fun rhythms of the day were "Fluffer Nutter" and "Boom-sha-ka-la-ka".

Joe Licinski and his Drums of Unity activity was invited to celebrate Hospitality week with the residents and staff at Heritage Oaks of Englewood this morning. Joe brought in 35 full sized African djembe drums for the participants who learned to play the drums and connected through rhythm, laughter and the joy of making music together.
