By letting go, we provide space for new.🤲🏽
Throughout the yoga practice, we have a balance of relaxing and settling into poses, while grounding down and strengthening through more challenging sequences. It’s what draws so many to yoga; the beautiful symmetry of peace and power.💞
We find these moments woven into our daily lives. Moments where we have to ground down and others where we have to let go. When we let go, we find freedom from the emotions and feelings that don’t serve us which in turn gives us space for other more positive emotions. When we let go of fear, we invite an opening for peace, clarity, presence and love.🩵
Release from what doesn’t help us grow so we can gain more love for ourselves and others.🫶🏼

We root down, to rise up.⬆️
Through a practice of grounding of the body and mind, yoga can help guide us to where our nervous system finds peace and clarity. With breath, focused attention and a calm mind our body can find comfort and restoration.
The hope is that what we gain for ourselves on the mat, we can translate to those around us. Passing the good and love we gained within and give it to those who need it in this world.🩵
We ground down for ourselves, so we can help others ground and rise up for themselves.

I started “The Book of Joy” last week. Absolutely in love with its beauty. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend for anyone. It’s such a powerful book, so many incredible stories, life lessons and knowledge from two of our world’s most loving and caring human beings. I actually received it as a gift the day Desmond Tutu passed which I believe was an invitation for me to take this book seriously, to take it to heart.
This quote I read tonight by His Holiness the Dalai Lama was so powerful to me. It resonates to why I am in physical therapy, why I love teaching yoga and to the core why we all feel better when helping others. This is why I feel such life purpose being a mother and wife as well, caring for Elliot and Lucas is such an honor.
Regardless of what we do day in and day out, we can all make time to care. To love. To be compassionate. Take time today to give to someone who needs it.💓

Whether we like it or recognize it or not, we all will have moments we will be challenged with the thought or idea of “worrying”.
It’s not healthy to overindulge in this natural human experience, nor is it healthy to deny any notion of these worrisome thoughts. It’s in our human genetic code to “worry”. Hundreds of thousands of years ago these thoughts were more geared towards life and death situations and we took physical action to change the situation. Unfortunately, in today’s age this mental energy builds up and we are placing the same energy into minuscule tasks and thoughts, causing havoc to our thought and decision making processes.
The mindful component that we may lack at times is illustrated in this image below. Determining that ultimately, our energy (which is what worrying is, just energy misplaced) should be focused on solving the problem at hand or letting it go.
This. Takes. Practice.
Yes, just like anything in life, we will constantly have to remind ourselves of this. This image helps me stay present and focused on what I can and cannot to. Think serenity prayer. “God, give me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage the change what I can and the serenity to know the difference.”
As in all areas of self improvement, it is a journey. Begin and/or continue today on this journey towards mindfully choosing where that mental energy flows. 🌊
This is a work of progress, not perfection.🙏🏼

Hello there and welcome to my page!💗
Initially, when I created this page back in 2016, I was using it primarily for advertising my yoga classes for my home studio, Evansville Power Yoga. Now, five years later my life has some big changes. I’m a wife, a mother, I’ve moved and most importantly I’ve transformed and made my life mission to shed light on all that allow me to do so. We are all given an opportunity to shine a rays of wisdom, hope, positivity and love into this world. To be the change. I see it that if I have any light to give, God gave it to me to give to others and inspire that spark of change, of growth with others.
On this page, I will be sharing pictures, videos and inspiring messages to hopefully bring motivation and energy within you to continue to share that same energy with others. That’s how we change the world. With one action, one thought, one act of kindness at a time.
Life is hard. Life can be unbearable at times. I want this page to be used as a force of good to give you the reader a motivation to rise above any and all obstacles you have in your
life.
Here’s to the pursuit of a journey of light,
Namaste,
Samantha Vaal🧘🏼🥰

"She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future." -Proverbs 31:25.
Fear can consume every living inch of us. It is our responsibility to recognize our reactions to life and choose faith, love and perseverance over fear.
Life will always have its struggles, but we have the ability rise 🆙stronger every single day! Rise higher and make it a great week everyone!💪🏼☑️ ✈️

Let it be. Let it be as it is and accept. Identify an aspect of your life that is bringing you unwanted stress and strain. Ask yourself what you can do for the situation. If you cannot do anything about about it, let it go. Trust growth not only for yourself but for the situation. Sometimes backing away from a certain hardship or toxic environment is the best decision for both sides. Let it be and let go.

Life is a constant balance on strain and stretch. The mind will go through strain during periods of stress and hardships. Our emotions will be strained during times of pain and chaos in our lives. The physical body experiences strain during exercise. This strain builds endurance, strength and stability. What if we looked at the strains in life such as this? That our periods of stress, sadness, frustrations build "muscles" in our heart and soul. The scars heal and make us stronger. Whatever the pain you are going though, know that the strain builds endurance, strength and adversity to conquer even more. Know that during the strain, you have to stretch. You have to open up, stretch and reach to keep yourself light. Remember to be light with yourself and stay focused on the journey!

There is peace in letting go. There is joy in acceptance. There are situations in life we want to control, we want to change. Let go. Let go and be open for life. Let go of the need and desire to change and let the tide of peace come rushing in. Be open for grounding and acceptance that everything is working itself out just the way it should.
