Today, the Mothers’ Club had our final event to conclude another successful year. Our annual Mothers’ Club Luncheon was held at the Community House in Birmingham to celebrate all our lovely mothers at Brother Rice.

Our amazing MC President Mindy gave a heartfelt speech praising the Senior moms on guiding their fine young men for the past four years at Brother Rice and bidding them farewells along with a huge welcome to the incoming Freshman moms. All mixed emotions were felt by all the moms in the room!

And we thanked all the amazing Chairs of the Mothers’ Club events throughout the year with small tokens of appreciation.

But the BIGGEST SHOUTOUTS were to Katie I. and Annie S. for organizing today’s beautiful luncheon. THANK YOU!!!

And we concluded with our traditional Senior mom’s photo in front of the Community House.

Today, the Mothers’ Club hosted another delicious luncheon for the teachers and staff. Inspired by yours truly (😊), along with many of our fellow Asian Brother Rice families, I think we may have started a new yummy tradition with so many Korean, Japanese, Filipino, Chinese and other Asian dishes and desserts!

A HUGE THANK YOU to the Costello, Dumont, Go, Guo, Hong, Katke, Meyers, Ramos, Roberts, Shin, Sta Cruz, Tuliao, Yoo and Zhang families and Tiger Market for donating the delicious food!

We think it’s safe to say the teachers and staff enjoyed today’s new menu!

Today, we held our annual Mother and Son Mass at St. Regis Church and were blessed to have an alum from the Class of 1989, Father Tim Birney, celebrate our Mass!

Many of our Senior students led the Mass and did a wonderful job of representing the four pillars of RICE.

Concluding the mass, Finn’s reflection of being a son was truly heartwarming, and I’m sure Gloria’s motherly reflection was felt by not only all the Senior moms by all the moms.

At the end, the moms received a special blessing, and then the sons also received a blessing.

After mass, everyone headed over to the gym to take a commemorative photo and have a light brunch.

This annual Mothers’ Club event is a true gift that all the moms and sons can be grateful for.

The wonderful ladies of our Garden Club, Elizabeth, Marielle, and Jen, beautifully decorated the entrances to our school in preparation for our annual Mothers and Sons Mass and Brunch tomorrow. We cannot wait to see all the beautiful moms and handsome sons walk into the school halls with these floral arrangements greeting them!
Thank you to our green thumbed moms for their amazing talents and generous time to adorn the entrances each season!
