Current HUB students have an exciting opportunity to attend a lecture by noted author Steve Pemberton on Thursday September 27th.

Mr. Pemberton wrote A Chance in the World and is the Chief People Officer for Globoforce. Current HUB students who would like to attend can fill out the following form.

The event is from 9am-10am at Cranbrook Schools. After, they will spend time on Cranbrook's campus doing various activities like touring the gardens, going to the Institute of Science, and going to the Art Museum. We will provide bus transportation to and from a designated pick up site in Detroit (details to come). Students will be excused from school if they have gotten signatures of teachers and the principal of their home school.

We can accept the first 40 students who respond on or before Wednesday September 20th.

The student's responsibility is as follows:
-Permission slip must be signed by the principal and all teachers
-The permission slip can be faxed to 248-645-3068, emailed to [email protected] or texted to 313-715-4107

Filling out this form does not guarantee that a student can attend the event. It simply expresses their interest. Students MUST return the signed permission slip by Wednesday September 20th to attend the event.

If selected, we will send out more information.

Parent Webinar: Getting Ready For College Applications - 1201479 08/14/2018

Parents of HUB Seniors and Seniors! Seniors are nearing the end of their high school career--it's going to be a very busy couple of months! If you and your student are overwhelmed or unsure about the process, don't worry! We have been working with your Senior to prepare materials for applications. They can't do it alone, however, and will need your help, especially to get their financial aid squared away. We will continue working with you and your student to ensure you make the best decision possible!

In the meantime, register for this parent webinar from The College Board on August 21st to help you become more familiar with the College Application Process. The more knowledgeable you are about the process, the better you can prepare, and as we all know, the more prepared we are, the smoother things go!
