Students are losing motor skills with too much time on screens. Studies confirm handwriting notes results in greater retention than typing. Handwriting is essential for math success too. Writing out the numerals in a column lets you add & subtract correctly.

This year many schools have new rules for screen use in school. We applaud this. More organization & less distractions!

Looking at a Catholic High School? Do you know about the HSPT?
Most Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit use the High School Placement Test (HSPT) for incoming 9th-grade admissions and scholarship placement. The test covers reading, comprehension, vocabulary, mathematics, problem-solving, and English language skills. Itis typically offered to 8th grade students on select Saturdays in November, December, and early winter.
