During Deaf Awareness Week, May 4–10, 2026, Bloomfield Hills Schools celebrates the students, staff, and families who are part of our Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Our team ensures access to instruction through multiple communication modalities, including American Sign Language, spoken language, and assistive technology, while fostering independence and self-advocacy. As a Center Program for Oakland County, Bloomin' East, Eastover, North Hills, and BHHS are proud to call themselves "home" to the D/HH Center program.

Three members of our DHH team were selected to present at the National Association of Interpreters in Education national conference this summer! Congratulations, Angela (DHH intervener), Megan (interpreter), and Erin (interpreter)!

Angela Katcher-Battani, Megan Seipke-Dame, and Erin Seipke-Brown will be presenting at the National Association of Interpreters in Education conference this summer. Their session was selected from among nearly 80 proposals.
