While Medicare covers many health care services, it doesn't cover every service or every cost. Many people are surprised to learn that routine dental, vision, hearing care, and some transportation services are generally not covered by Original Medicare.

The good news? There may be options to help fill coverage gaps, depending on your situation.

Take a moment to review today's infographic to learn about some of the ways people add coverage to Medicare, including Medigap policies, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicaid, and stand-alone dental, vision, or hearing plans.

Have you ever been surprised by something Medicare doesn't cover? Share below.

If you received vouchers, please remember to use them, and feel free to give back to our office if you're not able to use them all and we can give them to people on a waiting list (as long as there's still time left in the season).

Get $25 to Spend at Local Farmers Markets

Each year, the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, funded through the federal Farm Bill and administered by the State of Wisconsin, helps older adults access fresh, locally grown produce.

In Chippewa County, the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) distributes $25 vouchers to eligible, low-income seniors. These vouchers can be used at local farmers’ markets and farm stands to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables.

Best of all, farmers receive 100% of the voucher value, supporting local agriculture while helping bring new customers to the market.

***How to Apply***
Each year, applications become available no earlier than June 1, on a first-come first-serve basis, while supply lasts. This is a highly anticipated program with a limited number of vouchers.

View the ADRC's website for eligibility requirements and ways to apply, which includes a convenient online application that reserves your vouchers instantly (if any remain available):
