🦁🐘🦒 **Welcome to the 5th Grade Volume Zoo!** 🦒🐘🦁

Our 5th graders put their learning into action with an exciting cross-curricular project that combined Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies!

In Math, students designed zoo animals using boxes, calculated the volume of each rectangular prism, and then found the total volume of their entire animal.
Once the math was complete, they brought their creations to life with colorful decorations and incredible attention to detail.
In ELA and Social Studies,students researched their animals, became experts on their species, and created maps showing where their animals live around the world.
In Science,they explored ecosystems by painting biomes and designing food webs to show how their animals interact with other living things in their environment.

🦓 Yesterday, our Volume Zoo officially opened its gates for our 4th-grade visitors! It was wonderful to see our students proudly showcasing the hard work they have put in throughout this project.
We are incredibly proud of the creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and perseverance our students demonstrated. What an amazing way to celebrate a year of learning
