REMINDER: MyON digital library and news articles can be accessed for FREE by all pre-K to grade 12 students in CA right now! After you download them, you can read them offline. As part of State Superintendent Tony Thurmond's literacy initiative, the CDE has partnered with Renaissance Learning to ensure that every California student can access thousands of reading resources from 12/1/21, to 1/31/2022. Schools will be providing an access code.

March 27 th is the Jazz Festival for schools Children 's Concert. FOCS has the Spring Treasure Hunt scheduled for the same day.

What shall we do?

Talk about growing fast! The experiences a child has in the first five years of life sets the foundation for her brain. Engage by reading, talking, sharing, laughing.

Thursday at 3 will be the monthly meeting for FOCS. Then, at 430 the science fair projects will be on display. Finally, at 5PM we will host a community meeting, with school administrators and staff,on the new local control funding program. We need parents to help provide input.

We have 2 field trips coming up: Jazz Festival on March 28 and Lady Washington on April 17. We are counting on parent chaperones for these trips. Please let the school know if you can drive children for either trip!
