The South Orangetown Central School District is pleased to announce that Dr. Amy Moselhi was named Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, effective September 29, 2026, at the August 28 Board of Education Special Meeting.
In this role, Dr. Moselhi will direct the recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, tenure and job evaluation processes to ensure that the District maintains a highly-qualified and committed workforce, as well as the delivery of high-quality, responsive service to engage and support all employees. She will work alongside administrators and school leaders and serve as a member of the District’s Executive Team with the Superintendent.
“We are so excited to welcome Dr. Moselhi to the department of Human Resources. Amy comes to us with a wealth of experience in education and the public sector that will help us continue to offer a service-oriented approach that places our students, staff and families first. Amy will also be joining our District’s Cabinet and Leadership teams, working closely with fellow administrators and staff to ensure everyone feels supported and has the tools to elevate our dedicated and caring staff,” said Superintendent of Schools, Brian Culot, Ed.D.
Dr. Moselhi has served as the Director of Human Resources and DEI+B Coordinator for the Edgemont Union Free School District. Prior to assuming this role, she served as the district’s Assistant Business Official and Treasurer. Dr. Moselhi brings extensive experience in organizational leadership, human resources, finance and public service. Prior to her work in education, she served as Chief Executive Officer of United Structure Solution, where she also oversaw Human Resources. Her public service experience includes serving as a Board Member of the New Rochelle Industrial Development Agency and the Corporation for Local Development Agencies, as well as a member of the New Rochelle City School District Board of Education, where she served as Board President.
Dr. Moselhi earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Russell Sage College and completed the Policy Fellowship at Teachers College, Columbia University. She also holds a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University and a Certificate of Advanced Study in School District Business Leadership from the College of Saint Rose. She earned master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Columbia University and the University of Toronto, respectively, and is certified as a School District Leader and School District Business Leader.
The District extends our sincere appreciation to Joseph Lloyd, Ph.D., who has resigned from the position of Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources to serve as Superintendent in the Tri-Valley Central School District. We are grateful for his many years of service to the District and wish him continued success in the future.
