Dear Students and Parents of AIS PREP Blanding,

It is with great sorrow that we are writing to let you know that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2023 AIS PREP Blanding site. Coming to this decision has been incredibly challenging for our organization, and we know that it is a sad day for you as well. We have been so grateful for your patience and concern about the program’s status for you and your students.

We, unfortunately, did not have the amount of teaching staff required to provide your students with the quality of education that you have come to expect from AIS PREP. Our number one priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

We are in the process of hiring a new Site Coordinator for the AIS PREP Blanding Site that will be the new point of contact for any questions and concerns. We plan on hosting STEM activities for students in this program during the summer months. You will be notified of any updates via the email that was used on the student application for AIS PREP.

For those Third-Year AIS PREP students of this program, we are still holding our Summer Celebration at the University of Utah July 24th through the 28th. The third-year students will be required to attend this to ensure their scholarship. Students will travel Monday the 24th and return home Friday afternoon on the 28th. Please indicate whether your third-year student is attending the Summer Celebration by July 1, 2023, as we need to reserve accommodation. If we do not receive confirmation that your student is attending the Summer Celebration by the deadline date, your student will not be able to attend, as no accommodations have been made for them.

Students interested in attending ais prep 2023 must complete the online application and include the following to be considered:

CURRENT REPORT CARD
TEACHER RECOMMENDATION LETTER
100-150 WORD ESSAY: "WHY I WANT TO ATTEND AIS PREP"

Applications will not be accepted after the deadline date

Free Winter Coats for families in need! Priority given to current AIS PREP students.

I will be down at Montezuma Creek Elementary Parking Lot on Thursday, December 1st from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

There will be FREE hot cocoa as well!
