It’s time to think SPRING!
Well…spring semester!
Music is selected and ordered!!!😅🤩
Bigs class is doing an arrangement of Andrew Lloyd Webers Pie Jesu from Requiem with harmonies that will bring tears to your eyes! The altos will love it! I paired that with a smart and harmonic contest piece (if i can find it). Also, we threw in a spiritual that will require a few soprano girls to hit a high A! Looks scary, but will be fun disting off those pipes and learning to modifyvowels to let notes soar!

Middles Class is singing a sweet 2 part song by Joseph Martin called The Way of Love and tackling a spiritual and a contest style piece with some Latin fun Latin text!

Littles will be exploring the scale and producing on pitch sounds. We will do some simple Americana and Bible songs that I love! We are going to learn new ones each week and I think they will have a great time picking the songs they like the best to perform!

Please sign your kids up so I can have music folders and supplies they need! Just private message me the age and name and class they hope to be in. I might move kids around if needed to balance the classes better.

Littles approximate ages 4-7.
Middles approximate ages 8-11
Bigs approximately 12 and up.

Ages are approximate because the level of singing can be very diverse in each age group. Littles will be doing actions.
Middles will be learning and reading two part music with harmonies.
Bigs will be challenged with some difficult choral music.

We will make it fun, engaging, and fast paced!

We hope to start classes January 16th if all goes as planned!

Come celebrate the season with our homeschool choirs and Promised Land worship team! We will sing carols, the Littles will perform with actions, the Middles have some great two part songs, and the Bigs are attempting four part choral selections that are fun and challenging. The skit is full of comedy! Hope to see you there!

Micah Tyler took time to listen to Promised Land Singers Spring 2024 recital when kids performed his song “Praise the Lord”! Then he recorded a little encouragement video for them. Check it out in the comments! I hope it encouraged him to hear how much the kids love his song!

Littles (ages 4-7) at 1pm-1:30pm
Middles (ages 7-10 readers) at 1:30-2:15pm

Worship team practice 3:00-3:30pm (on some Fridays)

Classes will be held at Harvest Fellowship in Shambaugh, Iowa right off of HWY 71.

Please private message me the name and age of your children that are wanting to participate this semester. Also if there are Friday dates you know you will miss class(quizzing, co-ops, etc) please let me know, so I can get my lesson plans and music selections finalized.

This is a Christian Homeschool Music Class and Choir that stands on the Word of God. We choose our selections with great care to ensure quality choral growth, vocal health, and songs that bring God glory. If this is something you are looking for, come join us! Classes are offered at no cost to families, but we do have a love offering jar for the church facilities we utilize.

Brandon and I are so thankful and blessed for this opportunity to love our homeschool community through music education.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” -Colossians 3:16-17

It’s August 1st and time to narrow down our intentions for this next homeschool year! Our vision for this class remains Colossians 3:16! We are a Bible believing Christian homeschool music education! Our instructor has a BS in vocal music education and a MS in music education and hopes to inspire children to use music to worship Jesus.

Promised Land Singers will be providing a music instruction option for families again this year. We are still planning on meeting Friday afternoons, but may make some changes to course offerings depending on numbers and ages. We are NOT teaching curriculum, but teaching children and will make instruction and music selections based on the children and their skill set. So we need a list of kids and their ages in order to do this well.

We have always been a carefree instruction, and not too worried about faithfulness. However, last year we had several families drop out or show up without letting us know and some families showing up for just a few practices and coming to the concert not knowing the music. This makes the concert a very uncomfortable experience for your child and can really hurt the class as a whole.

We are just asking each family to prayerfully be intentional with their decision to participate. I know things come up and plans can change, but we ask that you respectfully communicate with me if you have a change of plans, so we can alter the music accordingly.

So, pray about it. Please, make this decision intentionally. Once rehearsals start, we will not be adding students until the following semester. So, keep that in mind.

If you feel called to faithfully participate, please private message Sheri Lynn Hunter or this page the name and age of each child wanting to sing with us! Then we will work together to make sure your child gets placed in the correct class.

We are so excited to see what the Lord does this year!

Message us name and age!🥰🙌🏼🎶
