August seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to summer. I know that my brain has already been thinking towards Fall, Christmas, and *gasp* even into 2027.
In conversations with other people, I know I’m not alone! However, I also feel like it’s a great time to take stock on how summer is going (cause it’s not over yet!) while also planning ahead to make the back-to-school and schedules transition easier. Staff Studio students can talk to their instructor if there’s anything else they want to touch on this summer (a great time to talk about music/art/dance history, or a unique music theory topic…things like that!).
For our instrumentalists, now is a good time to decide upon a Christmas recital piece and for our dancers/artists, it’s a great time to brush up on your skills and remind yourself where you left off (dancers - you could practice your Spring 2026 recital pieces to get back into the groove!).
Registration is going to open up for Dance, Art, and a brand new set of classes for home/cyber-schooled students! I challenge you to take a look at all the fun memories of Summer 2026 so far, the fun things to come in the last month of Summer vacation, and take just a couple steps now to prepare and plan for a successful, engaged, and exciting Fall 2026!
