The worst part of coaching is when the season ends—especially when you’ve spent so much time with a group of young men that they feel like family.

This senior class was my first group I’ve had the privilege of watching grow from wide-eyed freshmen into the incredible young men they’ve become today. It has truly been an honor to coach you.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to this program. Because of you, a new standard has been set.

I love you guys. You’ll always be my first class, and this program will always be your home.

Another Night of Firsts

With last night’s win, we’ve officially secured a berth in the PIAA State Tournament for the first time in school history.

It’s a historic moment for our program — one that reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our players and coaches.

But we’re not done yet.

Before we turn our attention to states, our focus shifts to the remainder of the District AAA playoffs and our next challenge: the perennial powerhouse, the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders.

We travel to Altoona to take on Bishop Guilfoyle next Tuesday at Bishop Guilfoyle.

One game at a time. Stay hungry. Stay focused.

Thank you to our players for your heart, your toughness, and the way you represented River Valley with pride from the first whistle to the last. Your grit and belief in each other showed everyone what it means to compete the right way.

Thank you to our students — the best fans in the land — for bringing the energy, the noise, and the school spirit that fuels nights like this. You made a difference.

Thank you to our administrators, staff, and volunteers who make events like this run smoothly

And lastly. Thank you to the two communities that make up the River Valley School District. When we stand together, there’s nothing more powerful. This was more than a game — it was a reminder of who we are.

All of it bought us these next thirty-two minutes.

Thirty-two minutes.

If this was the last time you ever put this jersey on… how hard would you play?
If you knew there was no tomorrow… no next practice… no next game… how much would you leave out there?

Because that’s the reality.

Lose — and it’s over.
No rewind. No second chance. No ‘we’ll get them next time.’
It ends.

Win — and we breathe again.
Win — and we fight again.
Win — and we walk out of here together.

So don’t save anything.
Don’t wait for someone else to step up.

Friday night didn’t go the way we hoped, but I am incredibly proud of our team and the heart they showed. Thank you for representing your communities with pride, even in defeat.
