Founded in 1848, Blair Academy is a dynamic, coeducational boarding school in northwest New Jersey, located 65 miles from New York City. As members of an inclusive, vibrant community, 470 students pursue a superior college preparatory education and explore their passions in the arts, athletics, academics and service. Strong faculty-student relationships foster personalized learning opportunities and academic achievement, while our cross-curricular public speaking and leadership programs teach students to advocate for themselves and others. Why Blair? Our faculty goes beyond the classroom. Passionate teachers, dedicated mentors, caring dorm heads and committed coaches meet students where they are at, building meaningful relationships in every aspect of their Blair life while challenging them to grow as scholars and individuals every step of the way.

Shout out a Blair faculty member who helped you discover your best self!

Today, the Blair community gathered to honor the legacy of Chris Fortunato, Blair’s 16th Head of School, with the unveiling of his portrait in the Chiang-Elghanayan Center for Innovation and Collaboration.

During his seven-year tenure, Mr. Fortunato helped shape Blair’s campus, founded the Day of Service, and established traditions and programs that continue to enrich the student experience today.

Thank you, Mr. Fortunato, for your lasting impact on Blair. It was a pleasure to welcome the Fortunato family—Chris and his wife, Erin, and their children, Matt and Katie—back to campus to celebrate this special occasion. 💙

Stop by the Romano Gallery to see 20 images from photographer Rob Yaskovic that put you ‘in the middle of it.’

Expect to see editorial photos next to street protests in this glimpse into the mind of a Jersey local whose work is bigger than his location. He’s followed contemporary alt musicians, snapped photos of cops, and waited patiently for the perfect glimpse of deer on protected lands.

Experience his art talk with us (in interview format) this Thursday, October 8, at 7 p.m.
