🌟 Good Morning Families! 🌟
Today is the FIRST DAY of our Before & After School Program, and I am so excited to begin my 3rd year with all of you! I know we are going to have a great year filled with fun, learning, friendships, and lots of wonderful memories. ❤️
Before we get started, I wanted to share a few important reminders and changes for this school year.
Before School Care:
*Before School Care runs Monday–Friday from 7:00–7:45 AM.
*Please remember that no children should arrive at school before 7:00 AM. There will not be an adult available to supervise students before that time, and children will not be able to enter the building. If your child is dropped off at daycare, they will also need to remain with daycare until 7:00 AM.
After School Care:
*After School Care runs Monday–Thursday from the end of the school day until 5:00 PM.
*All students need to be picked up no later than 5:00 PM. Our staff are scheduled until 5:00 PM and need to be able to leave on time to get home to their families. We are also only permitted to operate the program until 5:00 PM.
We understand that unexpected situations can happen. If you are going to be late, please communicate with me as soon as possible. However, repeated late pick-ups may result in suspension or removal from the program. A late pick-up form will be completed each time a child is picked up late, and after three late pick-ups, suspension from the program may occur.
NEW After Care Pick-Up Location!
*We have a new pick-up location this year!
We will no longer be using the office doors for After Care pick-up. All After Care pick-ups will now take place through the Elementary Entryway, which is the main entrance by the animal case. A staff member will be stationed at the entrance. When you arrive, they will radio for your child, and we will bring your child out to you. This change will help us keep our students safe by reducing traffic throughout the building and limiting the number of people entering the school. ❤️
Communication:
*Communication is extremely important to help our program run smoothly. If your child will not be attending on a day they are scheduled for the program, please communicate directly with me. Please do not rely on your child to let us know. If we do not receive a note or communication from a parent/guardian, your child will be expected to attend After Care if they are scheduled.
*We also ask that students remain in the program until at least 4:00 PM whenever possible. This helps ensure that spaces in the program remain available for families who need after-school care. Please do not use the program to avoid the buses after school.
Behavior Expectations:
*This year, we will be focusing heavily on positive behavior, respect, and making sure everyone feels safe and welcome in our program. We want all students to have a positive experience while they are here, and we will work with students and families to help them be successful. We do have a behavior plan in place, and repeated or serious behavior concerns that impact the safety of other students or staff may result in suspension or removal from the program.
Our goal is always to work together and support our students while maintaining a safe and positive environment for everyone.
