Happy National 4-H Week! 🍀
Today, we’re joining 4-H programs across Nebraska in celebrating Go GREEN Day — a statewide reminder of the impact 4-H has on young people and communities.
Here in Washington County, we see that impact every day. From 4-H clubs and projects to fairs, community service, leadership opportunities, and the countless hours our volunteers give, 4-H is helping local youth build confidence, discover their passions, and become leaders who are Beyond Ready. 🍀
As Nebraska landmarks light up green tonight, we’re reminded that every green light represents something bigger: young people growing, communities coming together, and the future being shaped right here in our own county. 💚
Thank you to our 4-H youth, families, volunteers, alumni, and supporters for making 4-H such an important part of our community. We’re proud to celebrate YOU during National 4-H Week! 🍀💚
💚 Happy National 4-H Week! Tonight, several Nebraska landmarks will be illuminated green in celebration of Go GREEN Day!
4-H youth, alumni, volunteers, staff, and friends near Lincoln are welcome to join Dr. Kathleen Lodl, Nebraska 4-H Program Leader, for a special photo opportunity at 8 p.m. on the UNL City Campus Union Plaza, where the lights near Broyhill Fountain and the Love Library cupola will illuminate green!
The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge between Omaha and Council Bluffs will also glow green -- a powerful symbol of 4-H's impact, and a reminder of how programs continue to shape the next generation of leaders to be Beyond Ready.
