🚨 LOCK-IN HELP NEEDED! 🚨

Westwood PTO is looking for volunteers to help with our school-day Lock-In on Tuesday, June 2nd (rain date: June 3rd)!

Sign up is through Google Docs since it’s easier for teachers and staff to access. Please:
✔️ Only add ONE name per slot
✔️ Do NOT remove names already listed
✔️ Double check the time/grade by scrolling to the right on the document

Volunteers should check in at the office with a photo ID 10–15 minutes before their scheduled time to receive instructions and location details.

🎨 Grade Time Slots:
🟠 8th Grade: 8:15–9:45 AM
🟢 6th Grade: 10:00–11:30 AM
🔵 7th Grade: 11:45 AM–1:15 PM
🔴 5th Grade: 1:30–3:00 PM

❤️💙🐾Staff Appreciation Week is HERE! 🐾💙❤️

We’re so excited to celebrate our incredible staff all week long! ❤️From classrooms to the front office, every single person plays a part in making our school such a special place—and we are beyond grateful.

This week is packed with fun, including:
🎁 70+ raffle prizes to give away!
🍿 So. Many. Snacks. (seriously… we went big 😄)
🌮 Thursday lunch catered by Acapulco!

We hope this small token of appreciation brings some extra joy to your week. Thank you for your dedication, your energy, and the countless ways you show up for our students every single day.

🍿 Lock-In Snack Prep Volunteers Needed – Monday, June 1st! 🍿

The Lock-In is happening during the school day this year so all students can join in celebrating the end of the school year! 🎉 More details about volunteering during the event (Tuesday, June 2 or rain date Wednesday, June 3) will be shared soon.

Right now, we need help prepping snacks! We’re looking for volunteers to scoop popcorn into individual bags for students.

⭐️ Volunteers Needed – Especially Tuesdays! ⭐️

Mileage Club is up and running, and we could really use some extra help—especially on Tuesdays! 🙌

Tuesdays are when students receive their weekly awards, making it an exciting (and busy!) day. Extra volunteers help keep things running smoothly and make the celebration even more fun for the kids! 🎉🏅

Volunteers help with:
👏 Cheering on students
🏅 Handing out tokens & lanyards
🔗 Assisting with adding tokens to lanyards
📱 Scanning QR codes to track miles

⏰ Times are during recess on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
👥 A lead volunteer is always present—no one is on their own

If you recently received a text, notice or email from BAND asking for money for conference meals or to assist in surgery recovery, please ignore them. Westwood PTO will only ask for donations through our official profile, which this message is coming from. In addition, we will only use our official paypal or venmo accounts for electronic transactions. Please always check who is sending you a message (in any group / email) and if anything seems suspicious, reach out in a different manner - such as phone call to school, to verify before engaging or giving money. We blocked the person who set up the fake account sending those messages and will continue to try to keep this a closed community of Westwood staff/guardians.
