Is there any better way to end the week than with ICE CREAM!!! Starting tomorrow August 7th we will be resuming our Ice cream sale at your child’s designated lunch time!!! Only for $1!!! 🍦

Today was our first official adventure through car rider dismissal for the 2026-2027 school year, and all things considered…I’d call it a success! 🎉🚗

The line of cars seemed to stretch all the way to next Tuesday, and Mother Nature decided to celebrate with a refreshing 99° and what felt like 100% humidity. 😅

A few quick reminders to help us keep things moving:

🚗 Car tags were AWESOME today! Most families had them displayed perfectly, and it made dismissal so much easier. Keep up the great work! Just make sure your tag is hanging from your rearview mirror where we can read it from the road. (Not clipped to the visor or laying on the dashboard.) Bifocals and the afternoon sun have entered into a fierce disagreement, and the mirror wins every time. 👓☀️

🚗 No car tag? We know it’s not anyone’s favorite trip, but if you had to park and pick up your child from the front office, thank you for understanding. Those procedures are there for one reason—keeping our students safe. If you’re wondering where your tag disappeared to, check those backpacks…they have a mysterious way of migrating home!

🚗 Please enter the car line from Dean Still Road onto Youmans Road so you’ll be making a right turn into the line. Entering from Midway Church Road blocks exiting traffic and accidentally creates the appearance of “line skipping”…and nobody wants to be that person. 😉

Thank you all for your patience and kindness today. Every afternoon we’ll learn a little, tweak a little, and get even more efficient. Before long, we’ll have this whole operation humming along and everyone home in about 20 minutes!

Now…if anyone has a proven solution for the gnats, we’re all ears. We’ll tackle the heat together, but those little boogers are undefeated. 🦟😂
