Come explore the exciting world of rocketry with Rocketry at Virginia Tech! On Saturday, November 15, from 10 AM to 3 PM, visitors can check out an impressive 11-foot competition rocket that was launched all the way to 10,000 feet! You’ll also have the chance to try out a stomp rocket activity and experience the principles of force and trajectory in action.
Don’t miss this opportunity to get hands-on with rocketry and learn what it takes to reach new heights at the Virginia Tech Science Festival!

Come explore the invisible world at the Science Festival on November 15th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM!
Our exhibit, “What Bacteriophages Look Like, and How They Can Help Us,” invites you to discover the fascinating viruses that infect bacteria: bacteriophages. Learn how these tiny but powerful organisms play important roles in medicine, agriculture, and everyday life, from fighting antibiotic-resistant bacteria to keeping our ecosystems healthy.
Attendees can get creative by coloring their own bacteriophage and making a button to take home as a souvenir. Come explore how these tiny viruses can have a big impact on the world around us!
