Fraternity and Sorority Life at Virginia Tech is guided by six strategic goal areas that provide a framework for individual and collective success. Those strategic goal areas are as follows:

Meet Taylor Thrash of Delta Gamma!

Through Delta Gamma, Taylor found a strong sense of belonging, lifelong friendships, and opportunities to grow as a leader. Serving two terms as Vice President of Membership has been one of the most rewarding parts of her experience, inspiring her to help others find the same home she found in her chapter.

Taylor reminds students to “go into the experience with an open mind” because you never know where you’ll find your home or who will become your biggest supporters.

Meet Andrea Funes Quinones of Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc.!

Andrea found a close-knit sisterhood that strengthened her confidence, communication skills, and leadership. From hosting the Spring Regional Meeting and showcasing Virginia Tech to stepping into chapter leadership, she has embraced opportunities to help her chapter grow while creating a welcoming foundation for future Hermanas.

Andrea encourages students to step outside their comfort zone and take that first step toward finding their community. Whether you’re looking for friendship, leadership, or lifelong sisterhood, she says, “there is a place for you.”
