Congratulations to Virginia Tech's June Advisor of the Month, Katie Heiderscheit! Katie serves as an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Undergraduate Advising Office at the School of Animal Sciences.

The goal of the Advisor of the Month program is to recognize outstanding undergraduate academic and career advisors. Recognition is based on evidence of qualities and practices that distinguish the nominee as an outstanding undergraduate academic or career advisor to include:

📅 Summer is here, and there are important academic deadlines coming up across the different summer sessions. Be sure to double check which session you’re enrolled in — Summer Session 1 (S1), Summer Session 2 (S2), and Summer Session 3 (S3) all have different timelines and deadlines.

Important June reminders include:
✔️ Web drop deadlines
✔️ Grade option change deadlines
✔️ Resignation deadlines
✔️ Juneteenth holiday closure

Students should review the academic calendar carefully for details specific to their summer session.
