Our philanthropy, the FIJI Run Across Virginia is a cross-state run culminating in the presentation of the UVA vs. Virginia Tech game ball at their annual meeting in late November. We literally run a football from VT to UVA or vice versa. Last year the combined efforts of both chapters raised over $40,000 and brought the event total to over $240,000, making it the largest philanthropy event at Vir
ginia Tech. We recently won the John Templeton McCarty award for outstanding chapter proficiency, and the Brightman Award for the most outstanding graduate chapter. We are very involved in sororities' philanthropies; finishing 2nd in ZTA Yacht Club in 2011, 3rd in AXO Mock Rock in 2011, and winning KD's 5KD in 2012. We have also consistently have brothers holding major positions on the InterFraternity Council. Phi Gamma Delta is "Not for college days alone." This international fraternity proudly boasts 115 chapters on college and university campuses throughout the United States and Canada; with approximately 5,500 undergraduate and over 90,000 graduate brothers, Fiji men have a profound influence throughout the world. Upon initiation you will be able to take part in one of the best networked organizations in the United States, a sure asset for anyone's portfolio. Some famous Fiji's include: President Calvin Coolidge, Jack Nicklaus, Payne Stewart, Johnny Carson, and Ronnie Romero (Playgirl's "Man of the Year," 1996) to name a few.
