Are your calendars marked for next Saturday’s GLOW IN THE DARK SLIME? So stoked for this round of Slime Club, hope to see you there!

The day may have started out foggy, but the skies opened up into the most beautiful early fall day for our nature hike!

We sang together before embarking on our walk!

We collected acorns for the Forestry Department, to grow healthy seedlings and repopulate the forests!

We explored the pollinator garden to find evidence of plants preparing for fall. Lots of plants are drying up, turning brown, and hardening. Seeds will feed lots of animals through the winter, and what the animals don’t eat may just root and grow next spring!

We read some stories about acorns and counting leaves!

We felt the roughness of the acorn cap, and the smooth surface of the seed, felt fuzzy lambs ear, and heard the crunch of dry leaves and oak gulls!

And some of our friends even got to see a frog down at the pond, who will soon burrow into the mud to stay warm once the real cold weather hits ❄️

Thanks so much for coming out today to observe the beautiful fall weather, engage in sensory exploration, literacy activities, and bond while regulating ourselves and our kiddos. I hope everyone took a really good nap this afternoon!

Slime Club today was SO much fun! We made apple pie scented slime, and everyone chose to add their own personal flare with color and texture. We were having so much fun, I didn’t even have a chance to take a picture of the slimes in their apple pie form with fluffy pie crust slime! We even got creative and turned some of our slimes into squishies! Huge thanks to everyone for coming out on a busy Saturday and The Little Bookworm for hosting our monthly Slime Club. We hope you’ll mark your calendars for our next Slime Club on October 10th! Stay tuned for the reveal of our next Slime Club theme… 👻
