Marching Virginians Alumni Association The Marching Virginians Alumni Association supports Virginia Tech's Marching Virginians

The Marching Virginians Alumni Association is an organization operating exclusively for The Marching Virginians of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and for the following several purposes:

* To foster a spirit of interest and cooperation among Marching Virginian Alumni toward the university.
* To support The Marching Virginians and its directors.
* To encourage a

cquaintance and fellowship between alumni and current band members.
* To strive for greater recognition of The Marching Virginians.
* To be constantly alert for, and to stimulate the discovery of, potential talent in high schools for The Marching Virginians.
* To create good will for The Marching Virginians.
* To encourage respect for the high standards that The Marching Virginians strive to uphold.
* To develop a base for financial support of The Marching Virginians.

Alumni, THANK YOU for an amazing Giving Day!

We had a record number of donors AND donations, and that support means wonderful things for our students and the MVs. I am grateful and appreciative of everything that you do for this band and the absolute best students at Virginia Tech!

To be able to replace our drumline within a 24 hour period last year, and replace at least half of our tuba section within a 24 hour period this year is something that I didn't think would be possible. I should have known better!!!

I'll keep you updated about final numbers as soon as I get that information. I'll also be reaching out about naming, keychains, etc. You'll be hearing from me regularly in the next few weeks and months.

Again, thank you for everything that you do to support this ensemble and these amazing students. I appreciate you!!!

We are so close to 500 donors! Help push us over the edge--even a small amount ($5) makes a big difference!

For everyone who gives $250, you'll get a limited edition keychain.

Keychains are a big part of MV uniforms--they get a new key for every year they are in the band, and keychains to commemorate bowl games, leadership positions, H4TH, etc.

These keychains that you'll receive this year are actually PART OF A TUBA! One of our destroyed tubas will be flattened out, cut up, and then engraved with the MV and VTuba logo and the year. They are REALLY cool and it's a part of MV History that you can have forever. Get yours today! We have until noon!

VTubathon happening right now! Tune in to the MV Youtube channel and watch content like a 2 hour long Hokie Pokie thon, MV Family Feud (beginning in a few minutes), and alumni interviews and stories! Content tonight until midnight, and they will pick back up from 6:00 am-12:00 pm with coffee and yoga (they described it as a gentle way to start the day).
