Our Story

The Animal and Poultry Sciences Program offers hands-on, science-based learning designed for students interested in pursuing a wide variety of educational experiences. Students tailor their education to meet their specific academic and career goals through the selection of an option/track (Pre-Vet, Production/Business, or Science) and a species focus (Equine, Companion/Lab Animal, Livestock, or Poultry). Our on-campus animal facilities and research laboratories provide students the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience inside and outside the classroom, preparing them for a wide variety of careers. Experiential learning coupled with faculty involvement in every aspect of the student’s academic journey truly embody the Animal and Poultry Sciences experience.
