Here is the official dance for AXO Mock Rock 2021! We are so proud of our girls and how it all turned out. We were able to completely fill Burruss Hall and put on an amazing performance with many other organizations on campus. Today is the final day of MOCK ROCK, and we are continuing to raise money for DVA and help support the Womenโs Resource Center of the New River Valley! Shoutout to Lindsey Payne and Savannah Miller for choreographing this amazing dance, and thank you to our amazing Mock Rock Team (AnnaKate, Anna, Kat, and Hailey) for making this all possible.

New details about 2021 formal recruitment from -
โThe Panhellenic Council at Virginia Techโs Recruitment Team is eager to announce that the 2021 Formal Recruitment process will be 100% virtual. We truly believe that, by conducting a fully virtual recruitment, we will be able to provide a safe and healthy values-based recruitment experience where our potential new members (PNMs) will have the opportunity to learn about all 13 of our organizations and engage in meaningful conversations with members of our chapters.
In early December, Recruitment Kits will be mailed to each registered Potential New Member. This kit will contain a t-shirt for each PNM to wear during the Philanthropy Round of recruitment, the Virginia Tech Panhellenic iValu reflection book, and a few fun surprises for our PNMs to enjoy!
We will begin sharing more specific details and information with registered PNMs in late November, so we encourage PNMs to register as soon as possible. As a reminder, the registration fee is $90 for students who register November 16-30. Formal Recruitment registration closes at 11:59pm on November 30. To complete the registration process, PNMs must register in both HokieSpa and MyCampusDirector. PNMs are encouraged to submit an introductory video in their MyCampusDirector account, which they may do at any time up until 11:59pm on November 30.
For registration questions, please contact Abby, Director of Membership, at [email protected].โ

Alpha Chi Omega works with the Womenโs Resource Center of the New River Valley to provide support and resources for survivors of domestic violence. The money we raise during this week allows the Women's Resource Center to arrange counseling, emergency hotlines, safe haven housing, transitional housing, and pantry items for women in crisis. Last year, we were able to raise over $40,000, and this year we are hoping to raise $45,000 to support them during this especially difficult time.
Due to the pandemic, we have pivoted to a virtual format. While it is not what we expected, we are so excited that this will allow friends and family at home to participate, in addition to our Virginia Tech community! You can take part in virtual Mock Rock from home in the following ways:
-Pantry Donations: We are collecting pantry donations virtually this year via a Walmart wish list. The donations will be mailed to our sororityโs house. We will then deliver them personally to the Women's Resource Center. (https://www.walmart.com/lists/view-events-registry-items?id=14cc32dd-63b9-4731-8532-179c80027afd)
-T-Shirts: We are selling T-Shirts featuring our theme, โBreak the Chain: Ending the Cycle of Domestic Violence.โ (https://order.universitytees.com/bird_banks/78771/signups/new)
-Virtual 5K: Dash for DVA will take place on October 27th, and we hope you will consider walking or running with us from your home. Registration is $5 and can be submitted: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdjdQj3HK8sb1Bi_KJfj0eppvaJra6ok5JrIYqc0fBJ98aNEw/viewform
-Donation Link: Using the Mock Rock 2020 Donation Link, you can help the Womenโs Center run their Safe Haven location, find safe apartments for women and their children, provide therapy for women in crisis, and much more. (https://alphachiomega.crowdchange.co/15019)
We appreciate any donation or support you are able to make especially during these challenging times!

โWe are Virginia Tech.
We are sad today, and we will be sad for quite a while. We are not moving on, we are embracing our mourning.
We are Virginia Tech.
We are strong enough to stand tall tearlessly, we are brave enough to bend to cry, and we are sad enough to know that we must laugh again.
We are Virginia Tech.โ

โI joined Alpha Chi because I had never laughed so much or felt so comfy in a home and with a group of girls as much as I did with AXO... Alpaca farm smooches was a big geek.โ -Kayla Roberts, Class of 2020
