We are so amazingly grateful for all of our volunteers who support our ministry in so many unique ways and we had a lovely time getting to thank many of them yesterday and celebrate their work!

Finals week at the BSC, pt. 2!! 🎉

Long study hours, lasagna dinner, puppies, and lots of sweet memories! We will miss our students this summer - looking forward to having them back this fall! 😁

Last but certainly not least, meet host Sandy Young!

Sandy is a Blacksburg local and a retired elder from Blacksburg Christian Fellowship.

Fun facts about Sandy: He's an analog writer, using fountain pens, nice paper, journals, ink, the whole bit ;)
He was also raised with horses since his mother was an equestrian and horse trainer!
Finally, he's originally from Texas and was born only blocks away from the Alamo 🎉

Meet our next host, Braeden Wallace!! 😁

Braeden is from Virginia and is the Young Adult Pastor at Northstar Church.

Fun facts about Braeden: he is a big fan of the Cleveland Guardians baseball and has thrown out the first pitch at a game!
Also to date, he has been stung 41 times by various bees over his life 🐝

Stop by and ask him about his mishaps with bees!

Next host up 🥁🥁🥁 Elijah Nix!

Elijah is one of the RUF interns at Virginia Tech and hails from Albuquerque, New Mexico!

Fun facts about Elijah: He can beat Super Mario World in under 20 minutes and has met the voice actor of Patrick Star from SpongeBob while working at a hotel!

Come by the BSC at some point this week and ask him about one or both of these facts! 😄

To make your finals go as wonderfully as possible, we've got all sorts of exciting things happening this week to help 🙂

🎥 Movie night on Wednesday - take a break for studying!

📖 Reading day brunch on Thursday and the start of our extended hours - we're open till 11:00 p.m.!

🍝 Extended hours on Friday as well as lasagna dinner!

🍩 And yes, we're open 9:00 to 3:00pm on Saturday with donuts and coffee in the morning!

Robert and his family have lived in the NRV for 20+ years and he is on staff with Intervarsity.

Alex is an undergrad at Virginia Tech in computer engineering and hails from Northern Virginia!
