Last night the GSO has some festive fun as we celebrated our annual Christmas party, as well as, the retirement of Dr. Filz and Dr. Mauldon! We thank them for their contributions to the geotech program and for the generations of engineers they taught, mentored and advised. We wish both of them the very best and a happy retirement!

Last weekend the GSO hosted 20 prospective geotech students in Blacksburg! They enjoyed dinner in Lane Stadium, bowling in Squires, watched VT vs Duke, a tour of campus and the English Lab and a party at Dr. Green's house with his new "suburbanized" fireplace. We had a blast, and hope to welcome some new Hokies in August!
