Hello Families, who would be interested in a tears and cheers on Wednesday 17th right after school drop off? The PTO would love to see this event back on the map!
If you are not familiar with it : guardians will meet at a local coffee shop and get a chance to meet each others and maybe find comfort after leaving the little ones at school for the first time… let us know.

Last night the PTO provided sandwiches, veggie trays, fruit trays, chips, drinks, and cupcakes to feed 300 people for 5th Grade Promotion. The 5th graders were all smiles!

Lunch for our amazing GLES faculty, staff, and field day volunteers. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! Hopefully everyone had a wonderful time!

The PTO wants to thank the GLES faculty and staff for being so sweet to our students, families, and the PTO endeavors this school year to help rebuild our school community. We hope you have a wonderful final week of school and a much deserved and relaxing summer vacation.

Hello Guardians,
The PTO needs 2 volunteers on April 27th from 4.50 to 6 pm. It is kindergarten orientation night and we would like to welcome new families and sell t-shirts.

Hello all! I wanted to drop a quick message in response to all the texts and messages I have been receiving regarding families viewing the kids' Science/STEM Fair presentations. I checked with Ms. Flynn today and there will be no family viewing options - in person or virtual.

We could not have our normal after school in person Science/STEM Fair as we did pre-2020 due to COVID. Therefore, we decided to do the Science/STEM Fair during school hours as opposed to not at all. Ms. Bailey and I have volunteered countless hours to organize this event for the kids.

We are not going to have any virtual viewing, live streaming, or recorded Google Meets for each class because Ms. Flynn said the file sharing would be too large.

I hope this clears up the questions I have been receiving. I felt like it was important to get an official word from Ms. Flynn and then to communicate it one time to the GLES families.

Ms. Bailey and I hope that every child who chose to participate is learning a lot about science and is having a wonderful time.

Book Fair

Our Fall book fair is next week (October 11-15) and we are looking for parent volunteers! The book fair gets kids excited about reading, plus the proceeds help fund the purchase of new library books.

Volunteers will use the cash register to process book purchases and help students find the books that interest them. Training will be provided. We are looking to fill 17 time slots, most of which are 1 hour long. Volunteers can sign up for time slots by visiting the GLE Book Fair Sign Up page.
