National honor society intended to promote scholarship, service, and character across the Virginia Tech campus. It grew out of the high school Beta Club.
The Gamma Beta Phi Society was founded on March 22, 1964. The Society has chapters across the United States and has over 40,000 active members. Students are elected to membership based on high academic achievement, character, and a commitment to community service. Gamma Beta Phi has made a significant impact across the United States and supports many organizations including the Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Heifer International.

Student Spotlight! 🎥 GBP member Madison Perry volunteered at the Design Build Fly booth for aerospace engineering. She helped kids construct various models of paper airplanes which they would then test fly!

Student spotlight!🎥 Bella Maletesta is a junior majoring in Political Science. This past summer, she had the opportunity to attend Cadet Summer Training for Army ROTC at Fort Knox in Kentucky. She learned about combat casualty care and combat tactics utilized by the U.S. Army, and had an overall educational and fulfilling experience. She hopes to commission as an officer in May of 2021!
