Congratulations to Adrian Figg, who has been named one of Chemical & Engineering News’ Talented Twelve — a national recognition of early‑career scientists using chemistry to make a difference!

Figg’s work focuses on polymers — the building blocks of many everyday materials — and on a question few tackle because of its difficulty: how to make polymers more precise, and why that precision matters.

Driven by curiosity and a willingness to take on hard problems, Figg is also pushing new approaches like high‑throughput synthesis to expand what’s possible in chemical research.

Congratulations on this well‑deserved recognition!

We’re excited to share that Emily Mevers has been named a Camille Dreyfus Teacher‑Scholar! The award honors outstanding early‑career faculty in the chemical sciences for excellence in research and education.

We'll be welcoming Kelly Anderson as our next Cascades Speaker! She'll be giving a talk titled "Exploring the Solid-Liquid Interface Using Molecular Simulation." Her talk will be on Monday, April 27, at 2:30pm in Hahn Hall North 402. Can't wait to see you there!
