This study abroad was such an amazing experience in design, culture, and observation of the landscape. After one month across Europe, many crucial lessons about landscape architecture, industrial design, and architecture were gained. Our students are very grateful for all that they learned and are excited to bring it back to Blacksburg!

It was recently announced that Jenn Engelke, our assistant professor of landscape architecture, and Betsy Painter, our grad student, have been awarded a $15,000 national competitive research grant by the ASLA Fund! They will be investigating landscape architecture solutions for inland flooding. Amazing work!!
