Today we wrapped up the Dietetics and Professional Management rotation with a time of reflection and a special visit from Derek, a VT therapy dog. Congrats to these 10 students for making it to the end (almost) of their first supervised practice rotation!

Sustainability is a central theme of our Food for Optimal Health course, which explored the themes of sustainable food systems, reducing food waste, regenerative agriculture and more. Students explore the complexities of feeding a growing population while enduring the health of people and the planet for generations to come.

Congratulations to December 2025 MSND graduate, Laurel Romano, who was recently recognized as the Virginia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Outstanding Dietetics Student - Graduate Program for 2025. Laurel stood out for her academic curiosity, professionalism and positive attitude during her studies while serving as the southwest region district legislative representative in 2025 and 2026.
