German Club of Virginia Tech

The German Club Alumni Foundation invites you and your spouse or guest to an evening of fellowship and connecting with fellow alumni.

The event will be held at the Science Museum of Virginia's Dewey Gottwald Center, featuring cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres.

There is no fee to attend, and we sincerely hope you will consider joining us.

Virginia Tech’s oldest leadership and service organization, The German Club of Virginia Tech, and its alumni will award a $9,000 scholarship and two $1,000 scholarships to rising Virginia Tech juniors.

CENTENNIAL LEADERSHIP AWARD

$9,000 scholarship awarded by the German Club Alumni Foundation on the basis of demonstrated leadership and service at the collegiate level. This award is presented over two academic years ($4,500 for each of junior and senior years).

CAROL M. NEWMAN SCHOLARSHIPS

Two separate $1,000 scholarships awarded by the current German Club members and sponsored by the German Club Alumni Foundation. These scholarships are presented to rising juniors on the basis of demonstrated leadership and service at the collegiate level.

All Virginia Tech students who are classified as rising juniors are eligible for these scholarships. These scholarships are mutually exclusive. Eligible students may apply for both, but no applicant will be awarded both scholarships.
