Write a heartfelt note to your Hokie — we’ll supply stationery, pens, and envelopes, and deliver it via VT Mail Services.

📚 Resource Fair

Learn about the resources that help your student thrive.

Fall Family Weekend 2026 Registration is NOW OPEN! 🧡✨🦃

Football tickets are NOT included with Fall Family Weekend or tailgate registration. The Virginia Tech vs. Pitt football game is SOLD OUT.

The Fall Family Weekend Tailgate is SOLD OUT. There are many other tailgate options available on game-days like going to local Blacksburg restaurants, attending the Hokie Village Tailgate, or exploring other tailgating options.

The full schedule for Fall Family Weekend will be available in the "Hokies on Track" App and includes details for each event, tips for planning your visit, and more. More events and details will continue to be added to the schedule as they are finalized. Family members of new Hokies admitted for Fall 2026 — today marks an exciting milestone! Virtual Orientation opens today, May 1, and is a mandatory part of the new student orientation experience.

This required experience helps students prepare for their transition to Virginia Tech by introducing key resources, expectations, and next steps before arriving on campus.

As you support your student, here are a few upcoming highlights from the New Student Checklist to keep in mind:

• Virtual Orientation (mandatory for students and family members) due July 31 (learn more: https://students.vt.edu/transition/virtual_orientation.html)

• Housing and Dining Contract due June 1 (learn more: https://housing.vt.edu/contracts/apply/first_year_students.html)

• Living-Learning Program applications due June 6 (learn more: https://llp.vt.edu/faq.html)
