Advice for freshmen: “Get involved in clubs they are passionate about to make friends and destress by getting their minds off of school!”

Meet our Mentor of the Week: David Petrulis 🌟

David is a junior in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

Favorite part of the program: “Seeing the impact of the program on freshman engineers. Being able to serve as a mentor for these students is such a gift, and our presence in their lives, no matter how big or small, has the potential to change their lives for the better as they continue their journey here at Tech. Seeing them grow and change throughout the program is truly a wonderful thing to witness!”

Advice for freshmen: “Remember to stay present as we navigate through our college experience. Although it is important to think about the future, it is equally important to be present and fully take in the experiences and feelings that we are currently living through. Remember to take a deep breath and remember how great it is to be here at Virginia Tech with the friends we have and the memories we make. :)”

Advice for freshmen: “Get involved in a few organizations that you are most passionate about! College is a different kind of busy, and you don’t have time for everything!”
