Did you know? When folks were first settling this beautiful town of Blacksburg, they came upon our meadow and called it "Mountain Meadow" -- as it is one of the highest points in Blacksburg. When deciding on a name for this beautiful area, we chose "The Meadow" to honor this bit of history :-).

County looking to give most of 'meadow' to Blacksburg for park usage Some details still need to be fleshed out, but it looks like a group of residents in south Blacksburg will get to continue their current use of former Appalachian Power land just east of Nellie’s Cave Park. The land is just outside the town limits in Montgomery County.
