The Mozaiko Russian House Highlight event will take place next Tuesday, March 21st, 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the GLC Multipurpose Room. Activities will include a presentation about countries with large Russian-speaking populations, card games, and matryoshka painting. Free food will be available and you are welcome to come and go as you please throughout the evening 🪆🎨🃏

Checking in from Kazakhstan! Last week, our flagship students enjoyed the beauty of Charyn canyon. The history of it dates back 3 million years and because the area used to be a large inland sea, the deposits revealed on the sides of the canyon are relatively soft and are a geologists dream, revealing hundreds of millions of years of the earth’s history at this location. Today, it is a National park and a marvel to all who visit.

Today’s Film: Петь Свои Песни

This documentary film tells the story of Ninety One, a Kazakh Q-Pop boy band (Kazakhstan's version of K-Pop). With their dyed hair, makeup, and earrings, the young band members challenge traditional societal values. Although wildly popular among the younger generation, Ninety One becomes the focus of protests and government pressure.
