🎓 BIT Senior Spotlight: Hannah Nguyen

We’re excited to highlight Hannah Nguyen, a BIT-DSS major with a minor in Computer Science graduating Spring 2026.

Hannah has been highly involved throughout her time at Virginia Tech through VTHacks, the Filipino American Student Association, and the Vietnamese Student Association. As a former Marketing Committee Chair and Design Lead for VTHacks, she helped foster a creative and welcoming community for students interested in technology, innovation, and problem solving.

She also completed a Technology Internship with Infinitive in Ashburn, Virginia, where she gained hands-on experience in data analytics, machine learning, web development, and data engineering while applying skills learned through her BIT coursework.

In addition to her involvement on campus, Hannah serves as a TA for BIT 4454, which has helped her stay connected with the department while developing leadership and organizational skills.

After graduation, Hannah will be joining Infinitive full time as a Technology Consultant in Ashburn, VA.

She is passionate about front-end web development, machine learning, digital art, and anime, and values the way BIT helped her build both technical and professional skills that can adapt alongside evolving technology.

💬 Hannah’s advice:

“Expand your knowledge outside of the classroom. Read articles about topics you’re interested in, experiment with new software and languages, attend hackathons, and start projects you’re passionate about.”

We’re proud of Hannah and excited to see what’s ahead.

As this year’s BIT Senior Spotlight series comes to a close, we also want to congratulate all of our graduating BIT seniors. We are proud of everything you’ve accomplished at Virginia Tech and can’t wait to see what’s next for the Class of 2026! 🎓
