Grace Christian School Orchestra To update parents, orchestra students, and friends for Beginners, Juniors, Concert, and Middle School Strings.

We have four fabulous training orchestras in grades K - 8. We play classical, patriotic, gospel, hymns, and we fiddle! We begin with foundation teaching method books, and progress to early orchestral repertoire. We serve the community by playing in nursing homes and other events off campus during the school year.

Shouting out to all orchestra members!

Beginner Strings, Junior Strings, Concert Orchestra, And Middle School orchestra...our October 24th concert is almost here! Bravo, students, for doing an excellent job in rehearsals! Keep those practice sheets filled, and our performance will be awesome!
Please turn in your performance shirt order to Mrs. Eades ASAP!! If you already have your shirt, please try it on to confirm it fits. This is our performance shirt for every orchestra class:

Welcome, GCS Orchestra students!! Are you ready to play some awesome music? Rosin your bows and let's go! 🎻

MIDDLE SCHOOL - arrive by 7:30 am each morning with your instrument, folder, pencil, agenda, and metronome if you have one.
CONCERT - drop off your instrument during arrival on Tuesdays in the Middle School lobby for tuning. Mrs. Eades will meet you on the sidewalk when after care is announced to walk with her to your class. Class ends at 4:30.
JUNIORS - drop off your instrument during
arrival on Thursdays in the Middle School lobby for tuning. Mrs. Eades will meet you on the sidewalk when after care is announced to walk with her to your class. Class ends at 4:30.

Congratulations!! And Bravo!! To our GCS Alumni orchestra members and private students Isaiah Williams, Naysa Dunlap, Isabelle Wguyen, Lynna Nasby, and Matthew Allen for a superb performance tonight with the Youth Philharmonic of Central Ohio! A special shout out to Steve Wedell, Conductor, for Educating our students in the fine art of Music Literature, and nurturing our kids who are very dear to our heart.

Looking forward to our October Autumn concert! Each concert will lead in worship as the music will be all Praise to God. Just received authorization from Word, Bethel, and Hillsong publishing to use their sheet music! And so.....using this great Labor Day weekend to orchestrate Oceans and This is Amazing Grace. We are looking forward to a great start in orchestra this year! All string groups begin the first full week of school - Middle School beginning August 15, Concert Orchestra beginning August 16, Junior Strings beginning August 18, and Beginners August 19. Great music to come your way! We can't wait to welcome all our musicians back!

Our four orchestra groups are doing a GREAT job! Home practice is at an all-time high, as our musicians are preparing for great things....Grandparents' Day, OMEA Solo & Ensemble adjudicated event, and our last Concert of the year May 9!
