☀️ Summer is here, and that means picnics, barbecues, and outdoor meals with family and friends!

Before you pack the cooler or fire up the grill, take a moment to review these important food safety tips. Keeping food at the proper temperatures, preventing cross-contamination, and following safe handling practices can help ensure your summer memories are filled with fun—not foodborne illness.

✅ Wash your hands
✅ Keep cold foods cold (40°F or below)
✅ Keep hot foods hot (140°F or above)
✅ Prevent cross-contamination
✅ Cook foods to safe temperatures
✅ Follow the 2-hour rule (1 hour when temperatures are above 90°F)

A few simple steps can make a big difference in keeping everyone healthy this summer!

🌞 Safe Food. Happy Memories.
