Imboden Area Charter School is very proud of our artists! Winners at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds Fine Art division were Khloe Clark, 1st place ribbon ; Stormy Hufstedler, three 1st place winners and one 2nd place winner; Lilly Macias, 1st place winner; and Charlie Walton, 2nd place winner (not pictured). IACS was also awarded 54.00 to the art department! Also, our very own Mrs.Donna Golden was awarded two 1st place ribbons for her entries! We are VERY proud of everyone involved!! Congratulations guys!!

Meet our new k/1/2nd grade teacher! We are excited to have her and come meet her tonight at open house! 😊

Teresa (Terry) James joined the IACS faculty this year, serving as K-2 literacy specialist and special education instructor.
Mrs. James has been married for 48 years to Scott James. They have three children (Grant, Blake, and Scarlett), seven grandsons, and one granddaughter.
Before joining Imboden Area Charter School, Mrs. James spent 42 years as an educator. She began her career teaching first grade, then moved into middle school literacy and social studies. In recent years, she taught high school English, reading, and journalism. During her career, she was named “Teacher of the Year” three times. Mrs. James also served on a North Central Advisory committee for a neighboring district to help secure Northeast Arkansas accreditation. In addition, she worked with a team of area teachers to develop new curriculum that uses technology to enhance lessons.
Mrs. James loves traveling and has visited at least 10 countries! She plans on visiting even more in the future. Some of her hobbies include studying maps, reading books, working word puzzles, growing flowers, decorating for holidays, and camping with her family.
Mrs. James plans to make this year at Imboden Area Charter School fun and educational for her young students. Feel free to stop in and see her in her K-2 classroom!

I’m Andrea Roark, LPC, and I have been blessed to spend the past 23 years working in education. My career includes 15 years in the classroom, 4 years as a school counselor, and the past 4 years as a licensed school-based mental health counselor. Helping children learn, grow, and succeed has always been my passion.

My husband, Jeff, and I have been married for 26 years and are the proud parents of three sons: Kyle (and his wife, Chevelle), Karson, and Knox. We are also blessed with an amazing grandson, Kohen.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, thrifting, and repurposing furniture.

I am excited to join the Imboden Area Charter School family! I’m looking forward to building meaningful relationships with students and families in a close-knit school community where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
