Hello!

The school year is quickly approaching it’s end which, of course, means that we are in for a couple of busy, but fun, weeks! This Thursday, the 6th Grade will be taking their Field Trip to The Tommy Bartlett Exploratory in the Wisconsin Dells. Next Monday, there will be no school in honor of Memorial Day. Next week on Tuesday, May 27th there will be a Student Learning Showcase beginning at 4:30 p.m. and the 8th Grade Graduation will begin at 6 p.m. We hope you are able to join us in this celebration of learning!

Happy Monday!

It is an absolutely beautiful and busy week ahead. Tomorrow, students will begin taking the iReady Math Test. Make sure to encourage them to get a good nights sleep and yummy breakfast. Next week, ELA will be taking the iReady Reading test. Also, next week, students will begin their Passion Projects! If possible, please send your student with a Tri-fold or Poster Board next week. There will be extra posters available as needed!

Hello!

Last week, 6th graders should have brought field trip forms home, including a lunch form designating whether they would be eating school lunch or a fast food lunch. It would be fantastic if students could please bring in their lunch form for the Tommy Bartlett field trip as soon as possible!

Hello!

The 6th grade will be starting their passion projects the second week of May. This project is all about students exploring the topics they love and presenting their projects to each other and the larger school community! The presentations will also be shared during the Student Learning Showcase on May 27th.

To help out, please send a poster board or tri-fold board for your student to complete their project on! Tri-folds tend to be preferred by students as they are a bit easier to display and work on! Also, there will be some poster board available for those who don’t bring any.

Happy Monday!

We have a very busy, but fun week ahead of us at the Middle School! On Wednesday, we will have our Scholar of the Month Breakfast at 7 a.m. and our Student Success Conferences from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Finally, there will be no school this Friday or next Monday for students!

Hello!

We have another busy and important week here at the middle school! Math classes will be completing their Forward Tests this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. To help your student prepare for their test encourage them to get a full night’s rest, a good breakfast and of course, offer them good luck!

Coming up, the Scholar of the Month breakfast will be held on Wednesday April 16th at 7 am! We hope to see you and your student to celebrate and recognize their incredible work within our school community. Finally, there will be no school on April 18th or April 21st.

Welcome back to the final chapter of your student’s 6th grade year!

We hope you had a wonderful break. This week marks the beginning of our WI Forward Testing. This Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we will be completing our English Language Arts test. Next Tuesday (1st), Wednesday (2nd) and Thursday (3rd) we will be completing our Math test.

Make sure that your student gets a great night’s sleep, a yummy breakfast and enough water so that they can start the day with full energy! We will also have fresh fruit, water, candy and mints available to students during the test. Encourage your student to put their best effort into their work! They have shown time and time again how amazing their ability to learn and grow is and we cannot wait to celebrate their success!

Happy Monday!

We are very much looking forward to the 3rd and final trimester of your student’s 6th grade year. It is a busy week. On Wednesday, there is the Scholar of the Month Breakfast in the Middle School commons. On Thursday, there is a PBIS assembly to celebrate the amazing character of our Black River Falls Middle School students and Friday, March 14th is a day off for our students. Finally, we hope you enjoy Spring Break next week, March 17th through 21st.

Happy Monday!

It is the last week of Trimester 2 which means that all incomplete or missing work must be turned in prior to Friday, March 7th. We will also be running a early release schedule on Friday, March 7th . The school day will run from our normal start time of 7:40 am and we will release students at 12:16 pm. Please reach out to your students’ teacher with any questions or concerns prior to the Trimester’s end!

Can you believe it is already the last week in February? We certainly can't! This week brings us warmer weather, the Raise Your Voice presentation during the day for students and Raise Your Voice: Late Night at the Middle which is a whole family event on February 28th.
