Fire Drill Tomorrow

August 25, 2026Gilpin School Community Members,All students and staff will be participating in a Safety Drill on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Students and staff will practice an Evacuate! drill. Staff will lead students to the Fire Evacuation assembly area outside of the school building. The safety drill will last about 10 minutes. Highway 119 Rough Surface

School Closed May 6, 2026

Good afternoon. Gilpin County School will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6, 2026. With a Winter Storm Warning in effect and snowfall predictions of 12 to 18 inches of accumulating snow, the incoming weather impacts safe travel conditions and warrants a school closure. Wednesday is a snow day!

School will dismiss today, May 5, 2026 at 4 p.m. as regularly scheduled.

The Middle School Soccer game and banquet have been postponed until May 11. The HS Soccer Banquet is still a “go” at this writing for tonight.
