Mark your calendars! Our SWPTA Fall Fundraiser kicks off September 23 and runs through October 7.

There will be lots of great items to choose from—and with the holidays right around the corner, it’s a great time to start thinking about gifts for family, friends, teachers, and more!

Every purchase helps support Sawyer Woods students, teachers, and school programs through the PTA. It’s an easy way to do a little holiday shopping while giving back to our school community.

Sawyer Woods newsletter highlights 🦅

* School starts Wednesday, August 26 for grades 1–5
* Drop-off begins no earlier than 8:10 AM
* School runs 8:30 AM–3:10 PM
* Kindergarten starts Monday, August 31
* WAKids conferences are Aug. 26–28
* Kindergarten bus passes will be provided at the conference
* Breakfast & lunch are FREE for all students again this year.
* Transportation form: Families need to complete one form for each child and choose a consistent way for their child to get home whenever possible
* Safety reminders:
* Walk bikes once on campus
* Use parking lot crosswalks
* Students should exit from the curbside door when possible
* Adults cannot go past the fences during the school day unless they are an approved volunteer
* VIPS: Anyone volunteering at school, on field trips, for Art Docent, classroom parties, etc. must be renewed and approved every school year.
* Upcoming dates:
* Sept. 7 — No School, Labor Day
* Sept. 17 — Open House (tentative)
* Sept. 29 — Fall Picture Day

🎶 Could your kiddo be our next choir star? 🎶

Sawyer Woods Choir is open to 3rd–5th graders! Choir is a great way to build confidence, make friends, learn teamwork, and have fun performing.

🎤 2026–2027 Choir Details
• Wednesdays after school, 1:10–2:15 p.m.
• Performances include a Thunderbirds match (possibly twice!) plus other opportunities throughout the year
• More details to come as the school year gets underway

One important note: Choir is a school-year commitment, so please talk with your singer before signing up and make sure they’re ready to stick with it!
