Our Colorful Beginnings program offers parents the perfect opportunity to drop off their little ones for an intro preschool experience at an affordable rate. Unlocking the magic of potion play! 🧙‍♂️🧚🏾‍♀️✨

This simple yet enchanting activity not only sparks creativity but also enhances academic skills in kids all while keeping their focus for a considerable amount of time.

While playing with potions we are:

✨Scooping, pouring, and measuring ingredients which enhances science skills.
✨introducing kids to sensory experiences like smell, sight, and touch.
✨Sharing materials fosters social-emotional development.
✨ all while the calming effect of the activity promotes focus and concentration for extended times.

Let the potions brew and the fun begin this summer while confidentially knowing: mixing, measuring, and experimenting with different ingredients keeps their attention and fosters a love for learning 🖤

A classic but a goodie.

This enticing experience is guaranteed to capture the attention of littles. I’m sure you have everything right at home to craft this up for yourself. All you need is:

✨ Water
✨ Treasures (here I used flowers, glass gems and some sparkles)
✨ Salt
✨ A bowl (big enough to hold your treasures and water)
✨ Time

The day before you’ll want to fill your bowl with water and place in your desired treasures. (I by nature am a little extra so I first filled just the bottom half with water and some of the treasures and let it freeze before adding in the last half to help ensure even distributing of treasures) Once fully frozen you’ll set it out along with salt and more water and invited the children to use both to melt the ice and receive the treasure.

Let the children freely explore this magical provocation while confidently knowing they are:

✨ strengthening their fine motor skills (needed to write delicately)
✨ engaging their senses
✨ experiencing science
✨ expanding curiosity

Did you know that June 24th is International Fairy Day?! Believe it or not, it is and we are celebrating all month with a ridiculous amount of fairy fun.
Last weekend, Naturally Kidds and I were at Maple Valley Daysmaking fairy potions with the community. We went through 375 bottles and the names the kids came up with were so creative, I had to share a few of our favorites:
